What Can You See Snorkeling At Tamarijn Aruba?

This year, for the first time, I experienced the amazing underwater world of Aruba through snorkeling at the resort. I highly recommend trying it on your next visit to the Divi & Tamarijn All Inclusives!

You can sign out snorkeling equipment from the activity center found at the Tamarijn All Inclusive. The resort also offers a bike and snorkel tour to some popular snorkeling spots, but there are plenty of fish to see right at the resort.

As soon as I entered the clear blue water with my mask and snorkel, I was surrounded by a vibrant array of tropical fish. Unbeknownst to swimmers above, a whole world thrives beneath the surface, close to shore. From Trunkfish to Angelfish, you'll see a plethora of colorful fish of all sizes. They are undisturbed by snorkelers, continuing their daily routines as you observe them. I saw different fish daily, and the shallow waters allow you to simply float along with the waves, admiring the beauty below the surf.

While the Tamarijn All Inclusive offers incredible snorkeling right off its shores, Aruba is brimming with other fantastic locations waiting to be explored. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced snorkeler, the island's calm, clear waters and vibrant marine life will not disappoint.

Here are some top snorkeling spots recommended in Aruba:

  • Boca Grandi: Known for its shallow, calm waters, Boca Grandi is perfect for families and beginner snorkelers. You can often spot a variety of small, colorful fish here. For more information, visit aruba.com/us/explore/boca-grandi.

  • Malmok Beach: This popular spot features a shallow, rocky area teeming with marine life, including parrotfish, angelfish, and even some small reef sharks. It's also a great place for spotting shipwrecks just a short swim from shore. Learn more at aruba.com/us/explore/malmok-beach.

  • Tres Trapi: Famous for its three steps leading into the water, Tres Trapi is a unique and easily accessible snorkeling spot. The highlight here is often the abundant starfish population. Discover more about Tres Trapi at aruba.com/us/explore/tres-trapi.

  • Antilla Shipwreck: For the more adventurous snorkeler, the Antilla Shipwreck offers an incredible experience. This German cargo ship, sunk during World War II, is now home to a diverse ecosystem of coral and fish. While often visited by divers, parts of the wreck are shallow enough for experienced snorkelers to explore. You can find details about the Antilla Shipwreck at https://www.aruba.com/us/blog/antilla-shipwreck.

No matter where you choose to explore our Island, remember to bring your sense of adventure, your gear, stay hydrated, and always respect the marine environment. Happy snorkeling!
